BailRights is a civic-tech initiative designed to restore fairness, dignity, and equal access to justice for every person detained in Nigeria. Every year, thousands of citizens, many arrested for minor offences, remain in custody simply because they cannot navigate the complex bail process or access timely legal help. We exist to change that.
BailRights bridges the gap between citizens, legal support networks, and the justice system by offering a simple digital platform where detainees and their families can request urgent bail assistance. Through our network of vetted lawyers, human rights organizations, and justice partners, we ensure that no person is denied liberty because of ignorance, delay, or lack of representation.
We champion a justice system where freedom is not determined by financial strength, privilege, or access to influence. By combining technology with dedicated legal advocacy, BailRights creates a transparent, secure, and accountable pathway to immediate support.
Our work goes beyond securing bail—we drive awareness, empower communities with legal education, support compliance after release, and contribute to nationwide efforts to reduce unlawful detention and promote human rights.

BailRights stands for Basic Access to Immediate Liberty Rights, because freedom is a right, not a privilege. Our goal is simple: to make fair bail accessible to every Nigerian, everywhere.
